The Truth about 100 Bill Drop Card Marketing
The truth about $100 Bill Drop Cards
25 years ago when a new team member joined my team they were handed a pack of 100 drop cards to get their business started. A drop card is basically a business card with a classified ad on it.
We had everything done for them,
The sizzle card had an add, at the end of the add it said
CODE _____________
Every new distributor was assigned a code.
Each response was sent to our business voice mail box
which basically said:
"Thank you for responding to our national advertising campaign, at the
sound of the tone, please leave your name, address, phone number and
and the code number where you received our ad & one of our
representatives will contact you as soon as possible"
This was part of the process we used to help new people get into action.
I am shocked at more leaders don't do this today.
Back then we basically used traditional business cards like these.
About 15 years ago we started using $100 Bill Drop Cards. The difference
in response was immediate. It is really just common sense when you think
about it.
Let me ask you a question. Would you ever walk past a $100 Bill?
Of course not.
What about a traditional business card? Of course you do, every day.
These bills are viral. When people find them they will normally share
with friends, family and co-workers.
I cannot tell you how many times over the years, I have had people call
and the conversation would go something like......Yes, my brother found
this bill when he was in Las Vegas, and he is not interested in finding out
about the work from home opportunity, but I am.
Some people call these bills Sizzle Cards. Another very interesting fact is
people will not throw them away. When you think about it, who throws
away money?
I always found it fascinating when people would call and say something like
Yes, I found this 100 Bill ad in my sock drawer, I found it a couple of years
ago on the counter at the dry cleaners, and I was just wondering are you
still helping people make money from home?
There is no question, that drop cards work. From an emotional and psychological
sense, they just make sense.
About six years ago, our source for the $100 Bill Drop Cards, stopped printing
them. They got tired of the customer service aspect. We had been recommending
them for several years. Within a short period of time people who had invested in
our 21 Ways to Create Leads in Your Local Market program and others started
contacting our office looking for $100 Bill Drop Cards.
So we eventually worked out a deal with a local printer and started pre-buying quality
paper in large bulk quantities, so we could provide the drop cards to clients and customers
at a reasonable investment. We put up a website at http://www.cmgpromotions.com and
for several years we were the only supplier for these bills.
In the last few years many of our customers and others have gone into the drop card business. They have done a great job promoting this lead generation technique, to the point that I consider drop card marketing "mainstream". The truth is, they work and successful marketing always leaves clues.
The problem, people are in and out of the business. Many people selling drop cards don't have a customer service phone number. They really never considered the customer service part of the business. You wouldn't believe the "we sent them money and never got the cards" "they said they would be shipped in 4 days and it took over 4 weeks" "the ink was smeared"
stories we have heard.
I guess the bottom line is, I cannot recommend drop cards highly enough. They will get your phone to ring and your website counter counting. If you are looking for the best price, excellent customer service with quality drop cards, naturally I recommend CMG PROMOTIONS.
